CHURCH HISTORY

The Church was built in 1950.  Agape Fellowship incorporated in 1988 and has been going for 29 years.

Rev. Dr. Robert Miles Harrison is the founder and has had a burden for homeless needy people.  There was no help at that time for any homeless man, but to sleep under a bridge in the cold and wet nights.  The burden was great and has continued to this date. 

He has a heart for Africa, which started 4 generations ago in Chillicothe MO, where his great grandparents owned a plantation and African Americans raised his father.  In 1992 he and his wife took their first trip to Africa.  She went 9 different trips and He has gone 21 times. 

STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe the Bible to the inspired, the only infallible and authoritative Word of God.  We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life and in His miracles.  In His vicarious and atoining blood, His bodily resurrection and his ascension to the right hand of the Father.  We believe in His personal return in power and in glory at the end of this age.  He has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  We believe that for the salvation of sinful man, repentance from sin and regeneration is absolutely essential.  We believe that the full gospel of Jesus Christ includes holiness of heart and life, water baptism, healing for the body and the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit gives utterance.  And the gifts of the Holy Spirit as listed in 1 Corinthians 12.  We believe in the resurrection of both the save and the lost, they that are saved unto the resurrection of life eternal and they that are lost unto the resurrection of the damnation.
